About the project
We created this exhibition to reveal the hidden beauty of the insect world. Combining scientific research, CT scanning, 3D modeling and meticulous handcrafting, we developed a collection of large-scale insect models that transform microscopic details into unforgettable museum exhibits. Today, the exhibition is available as a complete turnkey solution for museums, science centers and cultural venues.

The exhibition features twenty museum-quality exhibits that reveal insects at approximately 15:1 scale. Each model recreates not only the insect itself, but also a fragment of its natural habitat to provide scientific context and visual storytelling.

Process
CT scanning
Every exhibit begins with a real entomological specimen. Using high-resolution CT scanning technology, we create an accurate digital replica that captures even the smallest anatomical details from the texture of compound eyes and antennae to the delicate structure of wings and microscopic body features.
3D modeling
Using the scan data as a foundation, we build a highly detailed digital model. Our artists reconstruct missing elements, refine proportions and prepare each insect for large-scale production while preserving its scientific accuracy and natural form.
Handcrafted production
Even with advanced scanning and 3D printing, the final result depends on skilled craftsmanship. We hand-paint every model, recreate natural textures and subtle color variations, attach countless tiny details and carefully assemble each exhibit by hand. This meticulous process transforms a digital model into a lifelike museum-quality display.
